Jim Ahlfeld, a 25-year aviation finance professional has formed AVIATION
AUDIT GROUP, INC. The company will perform accounting and auditing
services to the aviation industry. This is a new service, earmarked
to aircraft owners to include auditing services, due diligence, validating
cost, revenue and expense accuracy. The new service will provide accounting
services to aircraft owners: formatting, management agreement and
management report review.
"We are thrilled and excited about the new auditing service that we
will be able to provide to each aircraft owner," said Jim Ahlfeld,
President. "Over the years I have been directly involved in the corporate
charter business and saw a need for representation by the aircraft
owners."
The real strength of the AVIATION AUDIT GROUP program lies in the
experience and qualification of the audit team. Jim Ahlfeld began
his aviation career in 1978. He first became interested in the aviation
field when he began working for Seaboard World Airlines as an Internal
Auditor. Traveling extensively throughout Europe and the U.S., Jim
performed financial and operational audits for this air carrier.
After Seaboard, he moved to National Airlines/ONA, as Accounting Manager
and then onto United Aviation Services Inc., as Director Finance USA,
for this aircraft leasing company. As USA Finance Director, Jim had
direct contact with many of the organization's customers, who consisted
of most of the major airlines around the world. He worked directly
with aircraft lenders, maintenance overhaul facilities and aviation
insurance providers. Jim's well-rounded background made a positive
impact to the company's P&L.
The past nine years Jim has worked on the corporate charter side of
the business, as Corporate Controller, for two charter operators and
has been a financial liaison to owners of managed aircraft.
